I thought the speculated 100K salary limit for hiring foreign tech worker under the H1B program was a good idea. But this administration has outperformed it with an awesome announcement of a limit of putting $130K for hiring tech workers. This will help the companies and individuals who truly are qualified to get access to the program. All low-cost talentless workers being shipped to the US as specialists, taking away the entry and mid-level job opportunities that do not require special experience and skills from Americans will end here. I hope the bill gets passed and become law without any delay or an executive order passed in parallel. America needs global talents, not cheap labor. But L1B and outsourcing need special attention, as well as the companies looking for cutting the cost of labor, will try these alternatives.
